Based in Amarillo, Texas, the Amarillo Sod Poodles are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team, playing in the Texas League as the new (2021) Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The team was founded in 2017 with its inaugural season in 2019. Hodgetown is the team's ballpark, in honor of Amarillo pharmacist, businessman, philanthropist and the 26th Mayor of Amarillo Jerry Hodge.
