USA Gymnastics is the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the U.S, and is based in Indianapolis, Ind.

The 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization was established in Tucson, Ariz., in 1963, originally as the U.S. Gymnastics Federation. USA Gymnastics gained membership into FIG (for Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique or International Gymnastics Federation) in 1970. The organization is one of of 78 member organizations of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee
