The Eastern League (EL) is a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) league that dates back to 1923, operating primarily in the northeastern U.S., although it has had a team in Ohio since 1989 and Va. since 2010. The Eastern League has played at the Double-A Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliate level since 1963 and currently fields 12 teams that play a 140-game regular season.
