The Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) is a U.S. women's lacrosse league.
Founded in 2017 by Michele DeJuliis, a star of the U.S. collegiate ranks at Penn State University in the 1990s and a 2013 inductee of the U.S. National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. League play started on Jun 2, 2018, with each team playing a four game regular season and two playoff weekends.
The WPLL positions itself as a two-pronged operation -- both a professional lacrosse league and a development program through its WPLL Foundation.
