The Toronto Raptors are a National Basketball Association (NBA) team based in Toronto, Ont., playing home games at Scotiabank Arena (opened 1999; NBA capacity: 19,800).

The Raptors joined the NBA for the 1995-96 season along with fellow expansion team, the Vancouver Grizzlies. The two teams were the first NBA teams based outside the U.S. With Vancouver relocating to Memphis after six seasons, Toronto continues on as the only Canadian NBA team.
