The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference participating in 24 sports at the NCAA Division I level, with football teams competing in the Football Championship Subdivision.
The conference's 10 members are located in the Northeast U.S states of N.Y., Mass., Pa., and Md.
The roots of the conference date back to 1986 when the Colonial League was founded by six charter members: Holy Cross, Lehigh, Bucknell, Colgate, Lafayette and Davidson. Davidson dropped out after the 1988 season.
