The Mountain West Conference (MW or MWC) is a collegiate athletic conference that sponsors sports in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, including the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).
The MWC officially began operations on Jan 4, 1999. Geographically, the conference covers a broad expanse of the Western U.S., with member schools located in Calif., Colo., Hawaii, Idaho, Nev., N.M., Utah and Wyo.
