The Lansing Lugnuts are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) team playing in the Midwest League and based in Lansing, Mich., since 1996.
The Lugnuts' Major League Baseball "parent" team is the Oakland Athletics.
The team was formed in 1996 when owners Tom Dickson and Sherrie Myers relocated the Springfield (Ill.) Sultans to Lansing's new Oldsmobile Park, now called Jackson Field . . .
