The Winnipeg Goldeyes are an American Association of Independent Professional Baseball team based in Winnipeg, Man., playing home games at Shaw Park (opened: Jun 1999; original capacity: 6,140).
The current Goldeyes trace their roots back to 1994 in the recently re-established Northern League. The team replaced the Rochester Aces (Rochester, Minn.), one of the NL’s original six members from the league’s inaugural 1993 season.
