The Tampa Bay Vipers are one of the eight founding teams of the new XFL professional football league to launch the weekend of Feb 8-9, 2020, the weekend immediately following the National Football League’s Super Bowl.
The XFL announced teams and their venues Dec 5, 2018, with team names, logos and branding released Aug. 21, 2019.
Tampa Bay is scheduled to play home games at Raymond James Stadium (capacity: 65,618) in Tampa, Fla. Raymond James Stadium is also the home of the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NCAA South Florida Bulls and two NCAA bowl games, the Outback . . .
