The Sussex Skyhawks were an independent baseball team that played from 2006-10 in the Can-Am League. The team was based in Augusta, N.J., and played at Skylands Park, now Skylands Stadium.

Owned by the same ownership group that owned fellow Can-Am team, the New Jersey Jackals, the Skyhawks took their name from a fan contest. The Skyhawks did win a Can-Am championship in 2008, but folded in 2010.

The team is not affiliated with the current Sussex County Miners who play out of the same ballpark . . .
