The Schaumburg Boomers are an independent baseball team playing in the Frontier League and located in Schaumburg, Ill., (a northwest suburb of Chicago) under the ownership of Salvi Sports Enterprises.

Salvi Sports Enterprises also owns the (AAI) Gary SouthShore RailCats in Gary, Ind.

The Boomers play home games at Schaumburg's Boomers Stadium (opened May 27, 1999, as Schaumburg Baseball Stadium and was known as Alexian Field 2000-11; capacity: 7,365).

The Boomers began play on May 18, 2012. They replaced the defunct Schaumburg Flyers . . .
