Based in Kansas City, Mo., the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is a privately funded, not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of African-American baseball played from 1860-1960, primarily in the professional Negro Leagues.

The segregated league existed from 1920-1960 in the U.S., when Black men were not allowed to play Major League Baseball.
