The Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) was founded in 2003 and is based in Bethesda, Md.
MLSPA serves as the exclusive collective bargaining representative for all current players in Major League Soccer (MLS).
As a union, MLSPA works to ensure protection of the rights of all MLS Players, while also promoting their best interests.
Run by and for players, players on every team vote by secret ballot to elect a MLSPA Player Representative, and those Player Representatives then elect the seven-player Executive Board.
