Founded in 1984 by Dick Honig, then a Big Ten Conference Referee, and based in Denver, Colo., Honig's is a leading supplier of referee apparel across numerous sports. Apparel includes cold weather gear, compression gear, hats, pants, shoes, shorts and socks, as well as accessories such as whistles, brushes and indicators.
The company is now owned and operated by Greg Wilson, a football referee since 1987, including the last 11 seasons as a National Football League (NFL) back judge. Wilson purchased the assets and IP for Honig's and Honig's Whistle Stop in May . . .
