The Hershey Bears are an American Hockey League (AHL) team based in Hershey, Pa., with the Giant Center (opened Oct 15, 2002; hockey capacity: 10,500) serving as the team’s home ice since 2002.
The team is the longest continuously operating AHL club still playing in its original city, having begun play with AHL predecessor since 1938-39.
The Bears are affiliated with the Washington Capitals and owned by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company.
