Founded in 1992, the Arizona Fall League is run by Major League Baseball and fields six teams broken into two divisions, East and West. Each MLB team sends six of their top MiLB prospects to the Arizona Fall League, for a total of 180 players.

Teams play a 30-game schedule in MLB Spring Training stadiums. In 2018, the six parks were the homes of the Diamondbacks, Cubs, Rockies, Royals, A's, Padres, Giants, Mariners and Rangers.
