The Allen Americans are an ECHL team based at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas.

The team was founded in 2009 in the Central Hockey League (CHL) where they played for five seasons, until the CHL folded in Oct 2014 and the ECHL accepted the seven remaining CHL teams as members for the 2014-15 season.

The Americans are affiliated with the NHL Minnesota Wild
