Founded in 1983 by Mark Mastrov as 24 Hour Nautilus when Mastrov bought out his local gym he had rehabbed a knee injury in and expanded to a 24-hour operation.
Now headquartered in Carlsbad, Calif., the company was serving nearly 4 million members at more than 430 clubs at the end of 2019, prior to COVID-19 heavily impacted business. The company permanently closed more than 130 locations . . .
