Canada Goose (NYSE:GOOS, TSX:GOOS) is a lifestyle brand and a manufacturer of performance luxury apparel from parkas and rainwear to apparel and accessories.
Canadian immigrant and entrepreneur Sam Tick founded the company as Metro Sportswear Ltd. in 1957 out of a small warehouse in Toronto, Ont. The company initially specializes in woolen vests, raincoats and snowmobile suits.
Canada Goose also owns Baffin, a Canadian designer and manufacturer of performance outdoor and industrial footwear.
