The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard is a PGA Tour golf tournament played each Mar at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, a private golf resort owned since 1974 by the late Arnold Palmer, in Bay Hill, Fla.

The Invitational was created in 1979 as the successor to the Florida Citrus Open Invitational, which debuted in 1966 and was played at Rio Pinar Country Club. (Palmer won the Florida Citrus Open in 1971.)
