Team Marketing Report’s
Unlike the FCIs for the four major North American sports, this study isn’t meant to determine an average price to take in a Minor League game, but rather to show regional, league and class examples.
We believe the sample size this year accurately represents the cross-section of Minor League and Independent teams in North America.
By averaging out the 45 franchises that responded to frequent e-mail and phone requests, TMR determined the average price to attend a Minor League game is $7.99 and the Fan Cost Index price to take a family of four to a game is $98.21.
The ticket is 32 cents higher, while the overall FCI figure is $1.08 lower.
At $10.79, the Triple-A Charlotte Knights had the most expensive average ticket, while the South Bend Silver Hawks had the cheapest at $4.86.
The Triple-A Memphis Redbirds had the highest FCI at $139.18, almost double the lowest, the Class A Clinton LumberKings, at $72.86.
Premium seats, if applicable, were not used in calculations. Some teams used suites as premium examples.
While every team has myriad specials throughout the week, we did not factor in deals with the survey. We also only included children’s tickets prices, if the team provided seat scaling information.
